Sometimes I do not need a DAW and I want to ignore the computer and connect the MIDI Keyboard via its USB cable directly to the iPad.
The MIDI Keyboard controller is connected to the iPad via a laptop computer and the iPad lightning cable.
Currently I use Roland Sound Canvas with my iPad Pro as a MIDI sound module. After Covid19, I stay mostly in my mountain villa having a simple mobile MIDI equipment only.
